Job Title: CCTV Controller
Rate of Pay: £13.50 per hour
Hours of Work: 24 hours per week - Sunday , Monday
The main purpose of the CCTV Controller is to monitor CCTV systems, respond to incidents, and support the effective operation of the Control Room. The successful candidate will ensure the safety and security of client sites by maintaining constant vigilance, accurately recording incidents, and liaising with security personnel, clients, and emergency services where required.
Job Duties
- Monitoring multiple CCTV systems and identifying any suspicious or unauthorised activity.
- Responding promptly to alarms and incidents in accordance with company procedures.
- Recording and maintaining accurate incident logs and reports.
- Liaising with mobile patrol officers, on-site security personnel, clients, and emergency services as required.
- Escalating incidents to management when appropriate.
- Monitoring access control and alarm systems where applicable.
- Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information professionally.
- Ensuring all duties are carried out in line with company procedures, GDPR, and health and safety regulations.
- Valid CCTV Licence.
- Previous experience working within a CCTV Control Room or security environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Good IT skills and the ability to accurately complete reports.
- Flexible approach to working days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Experience using CCTV, alarm monitoring, and access control systems.
- Previous experience within a Security Operations Centre (SOC) or Control Room environment.
