As the UK leader in resource management, Veolia provides comprehensive waste, water and energy management services to a wide range of industries. In this role you will contribute to the safe disposal of waste, maximising the potential for recycling and recovery, with a strong focus on exceptional customer service and expertise. This position plays a pivotal role in the delivery of services to our customers.

You will work as part of a team, effectively managing daily workloads and logistics for front‑line staff and liaising directly with customers, to ensure a first‑class service delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day management of service delivery, including the dynamic allocation of work to vehicles/routes
  • Work closely with the team of coordinators, advise, support and develop them in confidence, knowledge, skills and qualifications
  • Communicate with customers and stakeholders, providing status updates and maintaining contact with drivers
  • Complete debriefs with front‑line staff and report necessary actions or updates as required
  • Engage face‑to‑face with drivers, supporting them to address any issues on the route
  • Report all safety concerns or container damage and encourage ‘stop the job’ if it is deemed unsafe to continue
  • Ensure Veolia legal compliance on‑site (WTD, O’licence and transport compliance)
Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating within a similar industry, waste/transport/logistics
  • Good communication skills, including communication with people of all levels (drivers, frontline employees and customers)
  • Ability to organise a busy workload and operate at a fast pace
  • UK driving licence
  • Willingness to be CPC qualified or work towards that qualification
Desirable
  • Demonstrated understanding of transport compliance and WTD
  • Experience working with a quality management system (e.g. ISO) and managing transport compliance
  • Experienced IT skills and adaptability to Google operating systems
