Senior Transport Planner - Pallet Distribution

As our Senior Planner, you'll be the brain behind the operation, shaping efficient transport plans, reacting to whatever the day throws at you, and keeping customers, drivers, and the planning team all pulling in the same direction. What You'll Do Plan and coordinate daily pallet distribution to maximise efficiency, service levels, and vehicle utilisation Build effective transport plans around customer requirements, delivery windows, and operational constraints Monitor and adjust plans in real time as operational demands shift Support the wider planning team with problem-solving and day-to-day decision-making Track, analyse, and report on key operational KPIs Handle customer enquiries professionally and efficiently Keep customers updated on deliveries, collections, and any service issues Stay in regular contact with drivers throughout the day What You'll Bring Essential Previous pallet distribution planning experience A proven track record in transport planning within a pallet network or distribution environment Strong understanding of transport operations, routing, and vehicle utilisation Experience managing and reporting on operational KPIs Excellent communication and customer service skills The ability to stay cool under pressure and make smart decisions in a fast-paced setting Strong organisational skills and a sharp eye for detail Confident with transport management and planning systems, plus Microsoft Office
