Trainee HGV Driver

MM Freight are proud to introduce their own HGV Class 1 Training Programme in cooperation with Martys School of Motoring. The programme includes:
Full sponsorship for the tests and training to acquire an HGV Class 1 licence A supported shadowing period with an established MM Freight driver, to build your confidence and give you the necessary skills before hitting the road solo A guaranteed full-time training contract with MM Freight, with a raise to standard rates after probation The opportunity to drive routes across Ireland, as well as GB (trip work) if desired As a HGV Class 1 driver, you will:
Work with the planning team to complete delivery to our customers across Ireland Adhere to road traffic law and Drivers Hours Regulations at all times Complete daily walk around checks to assist with vehicle maintenance and ensure roadworthiness, and record results Ensure all relevant documentation is correct, present and delivered to customers and/or the office Maintain a high standard of customer service during deliveries Adhere to company health and safety, vehicle security and breakdown procedures Report all changes to your licence and respond to all communications from the compliance team Ensure vehicles are clean and secure at the end of each shift Successful applicants will:
Have acquired their medical clearance and theory tests Have good communication and customer care Be willing to work flexible hours including weekends
