Permanent Warehouse/ Forklift Operative required for Maghaberry. Hours of Work:
Sunday
- Thursday 4:00pm - (Start
- Job and Finished) 42.5 hrs per week + 30 minutes unpaid break. Purpose of Job As a Warehouse Operative you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse activities. You will be responsible for the efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of bakery ingredients, ensuring accuracy, safety, and hygiene standards are maintained at all times. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Duties will include:
Operate Reach Forklift Trucks and other MHE safely and in line with company policies. Accurately pick stock for production and dispatch orders according to instructions and order sheets. Put stock away into appropriate storage locations using barcode scanners or manual records. Carry out stock counts and report any discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and health & safety within the warehouse.
Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, checking goods in/out. Work closely with production, planning, and logistics teams to ensure stock availability and accuracy. Follow all company procedures including food safety, allergen control, and hygiene standards.
Essential Criteria :
Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment Valid FLT licence (Reach) RTITB or equivalent would be advantageous Good attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions Comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment Physically fit and able to lift and move stock as required Desirable Awareness of HACCP, allergen handling, or food hygiene practices Previous experience in the food manufacturing or FMCG sector Familiarity with inventory systems or handheld scanners Company Benefits: 29 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays (pro rata) Company Pension Scheme Life Assurance cover Employee Discount Scheme Employee Assistance Programme Salary - £30,000 + £2000 shift allowance For further information contact Tanya Lyttle at Gen Tech Recruitment on
