Position: Document Controller (temporary)
Document Controller (Temporary – Ongoing)
Site based, Northumberland
£30,000 - £32,000 salary
We’re delighted to be supporting this growing, progressive engineering company in their search for an experienced Document Controller to their team on a temporary ongoing basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and detail-driven professional to play a key role in managing project documentation and supporting quality processes.

Key Responsibilities

* Ensure all documentation, paperwork, and records are maintained in line with relevant procedures and company policies

* Liaise with customers and suppliers where documentation impacts quality or delivery

* Receive certificates and reports, logging them onto project certificate registers with unique identifiers

* Expedite internal documentation (certificates, reports, drawings) required for Manufacturing Record Books (MRBs)

* Register and manage project-specific MRBs, ensuring accurate identification and tracking

* Compile MRBs in accordance with approved indexes and client requirements

* Issue completed MRBs to clients via Document Control

* Produce weekly MRB status reports as directed by the Quality Manager

* Maintain company documentation (procedures, specifications, drawings), ensuring proper storage and record-keeping

* Control the printing, distribution, revision, and withdrawal of documentation in line with company procedures

Criteria

* Proven experience in a Document Controller or similar administrative role

* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

* Ability to manage multiple documents and deadlines effectively

* Confident communicator with the ability to liaise across teams and with external stakeholders

* Familiarity with document control systems and quality processes (advantageous)
