We at JKR are supporting our client focused on design and engineering recruit for a Junior Electrical Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
In this role, you will support the design and development of electrical and instrumentation systems for gas turbine auxiliary equipment. Working closely with experienced Electrical and Design Engineers, you will contribute to electrical designs, calculations and technical documentation while gradually developing your knowledge of our products, systems and engineering standards.
Junior Electrical EngineerKey Responsibilities:
- You will support the development of electrical and instrumentation designs based on customer and project requirements
- Assist with electrical calculations and technical documentation and help ensure that designs are accurate, practical and compliant with applicable safety and performance standards
- Work alongside Electrical and other Engineers, you will learn how different disciplines come together within our projects
- Interact with suppliers and subcontractors and contribute to keeping engineering activities aligned with project schedules and requirements
- Your development is an important part of the role. As your knowledge and experience grow, you will become increasingly involved in installation, testing and commissioning activities, including opportunities to participate in FATs, SATs and site visits
- Throughout your work, you will focus on quality, accuracy and continuous learning, supported by experienced colleagues who will help you further develop your technical capabilities
- A strong interest in electrical engineering and technology
- Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering
- Some experience or knowledge of electrical design software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN or Inventor is an advantage
- Basic understanding of power distribution, control systems and PLCs;
- Awareness of IEC and NEC standards is advantageous
- 37.5
Hours - Monday to Friday 08:30 - 16:30 (Can be Flexible) - Opportunity for Hybrid Working
