This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in delivering a major capital investment project. As part of this exciting transformation, we are constructing a new manufacturing facility and installing multiple high-speed blister packaging lines to support future growth and innovation.

This role is offered as a site-based position in Cramlington, Northumberland, on a 24-month Fixed Term Contract.

  • Manage and/or support packaging project activities within agreed timelines and budgets, including FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ, PQ and PV activities where applicable.
  • Provide technical support for product transfers, tooling qualifications, packaging line moves, and equipment introductions, conducting impact assessments and technical reviews as required.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for new packaging equipment, tooling, and processes, supporting troubleshooting, fault finding, and resolution of technical issues.
  • Ensure all engineering and project activities comply with cGMP, quality, safety, and change control requirements, including the generation, review, and management of project documentation.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and external contractors to define scopes of work, coordinate site activities, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, process efficiency, reliability, and waste reduction.
  • Support training, knowledge transfer, and capability development across the team, promoting new ways of working and operational excellence.
Education, Experience and Skills
  • Strong professional background in Packaging Operations is essential.
  • Technical qualification (completed or working towards) is essential, e.g. Level 3 Mechanical Engineering. HNC is preferred.
