Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides health and social care services in acute and primary care settings, community hospitals, and care centres, through its 11,000 staffed workforce. The Trust serves North Tyneside and Northumberland, with a main WAN MPLS connecting the main hospitals.
Northumbria Digital Services offers IT services to all Trust directorates, departments and subsidiaries. This role supports the team to ensure campus LAN, WAN and WLAN services are correctly designed, implemented, secured, and maintained to align with the Trust’s digital strategy.
Main duties of the jobProvide management and support for the Trust's wide and Local Area Networks in conjunction with the Network Infrastructure Manager.
Provide infrastructure support to ensure high availability, security and usability of the network that is transparent to users.
Work closely with network engineers and associates to ensure routine work meets quality standards and to provide 2nd line escalation for complex network issues.
Person Specification Experience & Knowledge- Significant experience of managing a network infrastructure across multiple sites.
- Educated to Degree level in a computer-related discipline or equivalent with demonstrable network knowledge; additional specialist network knowledge is advantageous.
- Good understanding of networking infrastructure and protocols.
- Appropriate industry-recognised qualifications such as CCNA or equivalent.
