Salary:
Flexible (depending on experience)
My client is looking for an experienced Customs & Haulage Operations Coordinator to join their small but incredibly busy team and support the efficient management of their transport, logistics and customs operations.
This is a key role within the business, suited to someone with a strong background in haulage, customs, transport or logistics (or a real interest in) who can confidently coordinate operational activities, manage data, and ensure the smooth flow of information between customers, suppliers, carriers and internal teams.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, IT savvy and data driven, with the ability to analyse information, identify trends and contribute to continuous operational improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their career within a customs, haulage and logistics environment. So if you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a good understanding of haulage operations, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate day-to-day customs and haulage activities to ensure efficient operations
* Liaise with customers, carriers, suppliers, customs agents and internal departments
* Monitor operational performance and service delivery against key metrics
* Analyse operational data to identify trends, efficiencies and opportunities for improvement
* Maintain accurate records and system data
* Support customs-related administration and compliance processes
* Investigate and resolve operational issues in a timely manner
* Produce reports and performance information for management
* Assist with process improvement initiatives across the operation
Criteria:
* Previous experience within customs, haulage, transport or logistics is preferred but not essential.
* Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and business management systems
* A data-driven approach with the ability to analyse operational data and produce reports
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent planning and organisational skills
* The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
We're seeking a commercially aware and detail-oriented professional who understands the demands of the customs and haulage sector. You will be confident working with operational systems and data, able to build effective working relationships, and capable of supporting a busy operation while maintaining exceptional levels of accuracy and service
