Stannah Stairlifts have an exciting opportunity for a Final Process Checking Operator (Masting) to join the Rail Manufacturing Team based at Newburn.
This role is responsible for ensuring finished products meet the highest quality standards before being distributed to customers. You will carry out final inspections, interpret technical drawings, complete polishing and cosmetic finishing work, and ensure products are right first time while maintaining safety, quality, cost, and delivery standards.
As a Final Process Checking Operator (Masting), you will work 37 hours per week Monday to Thursday
06:15 - 16:00. This is a permanent position.

To be successful as a Final Process Checking Operator (Masting), it is essential that you have previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment and are confident interpreting technical drawings. Experience in polishing, cosmetic finishing, and working to fine tolerances would be desirable.
Final Process Checking Operator (Masting) Responsibilities:
- Complete assigned jobs to the required specifications and quality standards.
- Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure product accuracy.
- Carry out final inspections and cosmetic finishing to achieve a right first time standard.
- Work flexibly across different tasks and areas to support business needs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities while maintaining health, safety, and housekeeping standards.
Final Process Checking Operator (Masting) Requirements:
- Experience working within a manufacturing, production, or engineering environment.
- Ability to read and extract information from technical drawings.
- Experience working to fine tolerances and high-quality standards.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement, safety, and problem-solving.
