We areseekingan enthusiastic and dedicated Multidisciplinary Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Moorview Referrals on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse range of specialist departments, rotating through Medicine, ECC, Wards,Soft Tissue, Orthopaedics,and Imaging, while also gaining exposure to Cardiology, Oncology,and Spinalcases. With such a varied and complex caseload, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop your clinical skills, whether you’re an experienced nurse looking to build on your existing knowledge or a newly qualified nurse keen to gain experience with advanced procedures and broaden your knowledge across multiple disciplines.

Moorview Referrals is a busy, purpose-built referral hospitallocatedin beautiful Northumberland, within easy reach of the stunning coastline and the vibrant city of Newcastle upon Tyne. Our modern facility is equipped to the highest standards,including four operating theatres (one with fluoroscopy),CTand MRI scanners,a new electrochemotherapy machines for oncology patients,multiple ultrasound machines, and advanced endoscopy equipment.

We are a large, supportive clinical team withexpertisein many different areas, working together to deliver exceptional patient care across a wide range of disciplines. We offer referral services in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery,internal medicine, ECC, and cardiology, providing a varied and rewarding caseload. You’ll Make a Difference

As aMultidisciplinary

Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work a flexible rota covering 40 hours between 6:30 am and 9 pm, with a choice of either 5 x 8-hour shifts or 4 x 10-hour shifts to suit your lifestyle. You’ll also join a 1:5 weekend rota (Saturday and Sunday with TOIL) and take part in our bank holiday and Christmas cover, with occasional support across other departments when needed.

We can be flexible if someone would like to work part-time shifts; however, Mondays and weekend shifts are a requirement.

You’llbe part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, providing exceptional nursing care across a diverse and complex referral caseload while working alongside experienced clinicians across a range of specialist disciplines.

This role is ideal for a nurse looking to broaden their clinical expertise, develop new skills and gain valuable experience within amultidisciplinary referral hospital.

General responsibilities include:

  • Diagnostic imaging such as CT and radiography
  • Monitoring anaesthesia
  • Inpatient care including medicating,walking and monitoring of hospitalised patients
  • Discharging patients
  • Providing perioperative rehabilitation to patients
  • Preparing patients for theatre
  • Scrubbing into procedures where required
