Payroll Administrative Assistant Elk Valley

Support payroll accuracy at Elk Valley Resources in British Columbia through detailed processing, employee service, and Microsoft Excel expertise. Work a compressed schedule with alternating Fridays off.

Reporting to the Payroll Specialist, the Administrative Assistant, Payroll collects, verifies, and processes payroll information. You will answer employee pay and benefits questions while supporting onboarding, timekeeping, reporting, and reconciliations. The position requires organization, confidentiality, communication, and careful prioritization.

• Monitor Time and Attendance exceptions before time export
• Enter training, mine rescue, and other exception time
• Assist payroll preparation under legislation and agreements
• Support month-end payroll reporting and close
• Respond to employee and departmental payroll queries

• High school diploma or GED completed
• At least one year of payroll experience preferred
• Microsoft Excel, Word, and payroll application skills
• High integrity and confidentiality
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
