Labourers

Chemco is seeking experienced Labourers for civil work in Sparwood, British Columbia. We are looking for dependable, safety-focused individuals who are comfortable performing physical work in active construction environments.

• Site preparation and cleanup
• Material handling and moving supplies
• Supporting trades and equipment operators as required

Labourers will perform general site duties and support crews to help keep work progressing safely and efficiently.

• Perform general labour duties, including site preparation, cleanup, and material handling
• Assist tradespeople, equipment operators, and other crew members as directed
• Load, unload, move, and organize tools, materials, and supplies
• Use hand and power tools safely and properly
• Maintain awareness of ground conditions, equipment, nearby workers, and other site hazards
• Follow direction from site supervision and complete assigned tasks efficiently
• Follow all Chemco, client, and site-specific safety procedures
• Support a productive and respectful work environment

• Previous labour experience in a civil construction, mining, or industrial environment is preferred
• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather and site conditions
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a field team
• Strong communication and situational-awareness skills
• Valid driver’s licence
• Ability to work the project schedule, including extended hours, weekends, or overtime when required
• Required safety certifications and site-access qualifications must be current before starting work

• Successful completion of project and site-access requirements
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing where permitted and required for the safety-sensitive position
• Ability to safely perform the essential duties of the position, with reasonable accommodation where required

• Location: Sparwood, British Columbia
• Position: Project-based field roles
• Compensation: $28.00–$34.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
• LOA: Subsistence provided
