Aircraft Interior Design Specialist

About the Role  Our client is seeking a creative and technically proficient Aircraft Interior Design Specialist to join their team in Kimberley . This role focuses on the aesthetic and functional design of aircraft cabin interiors, ensuring passenger comfort, safety, and compliance with all aviation regulations. You will translate client requirements and market trends into innovative interior concepts, developing detailed designs for seating, galleys, lavatories, and cabin finishes.

Key Responsibilities   Develop innovative and aesthetically pleasing aircraft cabin interior designs.
Create detailed design documentation, including layouts, 3D models, renderings, and material specifications.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs are technically feasible and compliant with airworthiness standards.
Select appropriate materials, finishes, and furnishings, considering durability, weight, and regulatory requirements.
Manage design projects from concept to completion, coordinating with suppliers and production teams.
Stay abreast of the latest trends in interior design, ergonomics, and passenger experience.
Requirements   Degree in Industrial Design, Interior Design, or a related field with a focus on transportation design.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in aircraft interior design or a closely related field.
Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., CATIA, Solid Works, Alias) and rendering tools.
Strong understanding of aircraft cabin systems , materials, and manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of aviation regulations and standards related to cabin interiors.
