Salary RangeThe starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $63,357 to $111,802, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

Collective AgreementTerms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers' Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).
PreferencePreference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification.
Required Experience & Qualifications- Degree, formal training, and/or teaching experience in Psychology and English at the Secondary level.
- BC Teacher Certification (preferred).
- Qualification to cover 1 semester block of Psychology 11, 2 semester blocks of Psychology 12 and 1 semester block of Composition 10.
Psychology & English Teacher - Grades 10-12
1.0 FTE temporary contract, starting January 27, 2026 or upon completion of the posting process to June 25, 2026.
Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience in Psychology and English at the Secondary level.
This position is scheduled for 1 semester block of Psychology 11, 2 semester blocks of Psychology 12 and 1 semester block of Composition 10. Please note that all work will be on site.

Continuing teachers will need to vacate their continuing assignment in order to accept a temporary assignment, unless the FTE is greater in the temporary job posting.
