Location: Mount Baker Secondary School, Cranbrook, BC

Contract Type: Part-time Temporary (0.571 FTE)

Salary Range: The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $36,176 to $63,838, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

Terms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers' Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).

  • Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification.
  • Must have a degree/formal training and/or teaching experience in subjects and at a level specific to each posting.
Job Summary

Position: English Teacher - Grade 10

Contract: 0.571 FTE temporary contract, starting February 3, 2026 or upon completion of the posting process to June 25, 2026.

Qualifications: Must have a degree/formal training and/or teaching experience in English at the Secondary level.

Schedule: This position is scheduled for 2 semester blocks of English 10 Literary Studies. All work will be on site.

Note: Continuing teachers will need to vacate their continuing assignment in order to accept a temporary assignment, unless the FTE is greater in the temporary job posting.
