Location: Mount Baker Secondary School, Cranbrook, BC

Contract Type: Full-time Continuing (1.0 FTE)

Salary Range: The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $70,392 to $118,611, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

Relocation Expenses: Where an employment candidate must relocate from another community, province, country, etc. in order to accept this position, we can offer a moving allowance of up to $5,000.

Terms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers' Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).

Preference: Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification.

Industrial Education Teacher (Metalwork & Art Metal) – Grades 10–12. This 1.0 FTE continuing contract begins September 8, 2026 (or upon completion of the posting process) and is scheduled to include instruction in Metalwork 10, 11, 12 and Art Metal 11/12. All work is on site.

• Must have a degree, formal training, or teaching experience at the intermediate level.
• Must have a degree, formal training, or teaching experience in Metalwork.
• Must hold a Red Seal in an applicable area, a Diploma in the Technology Teacher Education Program, or an equivalent qualification.
• Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification.
• Applicants will be subject to the terms of the Criminal Records Review Act.
