Part-Time Drama Teacher at Mount Baker

Shape the future of theatre as a part-time Drama Teacher at Mount Baker Secondary School in Cranbrook, BC, teaching Grades 10-12. Engage students through Acting, Drama, and Theatre Production.

We are looking for a qualified Drama/Theatre Teacher for a continuing part-time role (0.857 FTE) starting September 8, 2026. The ideal candidate will possess BC Teacher Certification, and experience in teaching Drama subjects at the Secondary level.

Your role will impact student creativity while managing off-timetable classes on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Acting and Drama courses for Grades 10-12

• Instruct students in Theatre Production and Stagecraft

• Conduct off-timetable classes and workshops

• Maintain a supportive and engaging classroom environment

• Collaborate with other faculty members for productions

Requirements:

• BC Teacher Certification preferred

• Degree or training in Theatre/Drama

• Teaching experience in Secondary education

• Familiarity with Musical Theatre concepts

• Strong communication and organizational skills
