Elevate student learning as a part-time Humanities Teacher for Grades 7-8 at Parkland Middle School, Cranbrook, BC. Shape the minds of young learners through English and Social Studies instruction.

This role offers a temporary contract of 0.429 FTE beginning September 8, 2026, extending until June 25, 2027. Candidates with BC Teacher Certification will be prioritized, along with individuals holding a degree in Humanities. The position requires teaching English 7, English 8, and Social Studies 7 during designated blocks throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver effective lessons in English and Social Studies

• Assess and enhance student learning outcomes

• Create a positive classroom atmosphere

• Collaborate with colleagues on instructional strategies

• Support student engagement and participation

Requirements:

• Valid BC Teacher Certification is an asset

• Degree or formal training in Humanities

• Previous teaching experience at Intermediate level

• Availability for on-site teaching
