Position: Education Assistant Role at ʔaq̓am
Enhance student learning as an Education Assistant at ʔaq̓am School. This role involves direct support and relationship-building in a nurturing educational environment.

Your responsibilities include working closely with students, assisting them in everyday transitions, and collaborating with the Student Services Teacher to craft individual learning plans. You will also play a key role in developing after school and summer programs that benefit student engagement and learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with school staff and partner organizations

• Work with families to establish learning goals

• Assist during class changes and breaks for students

• Plan and execute after school and summer learning activities

Requirements:

• Certification as an Education Assistant or relevant education

• Understanding of Indigenous Community support is a plus

• Valid BC driver’s licence needed

• Must clear Vulnerable Sector and Criminal Record Checks
