Education Assistant at ʔaq̓amnik̓ School

Support student learning as an Education Assistant at ʔaq̓amnik̓ School in beautiful British Columbia. Work one-on-one with students, facilitate activities, and ensure a safe, enriching environment.

This role focuses on building strong relationships with students, staff, and the community. As an Education Assistant, you will collaborate with teachers and family members to create and implement individual learning plans. Your contributions will help foster a positive school culture and successful transitions for students throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the school team to meet objectives

• Assist students during transitions and ensure bus safety

• Support the shared planning of after school and summer programs

• Work with families and outside agencies for student goals

• Facilitate activities to enhance student engagement

Requirements:

• Education Assistant Certification or relevant training

• Experience supporting Indigenous Community is an asset

• Valid BC driver’s license required

• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Record Check

• Background in social services or recreation preferred
