Part-Time French Immersion Teacher

Engage students in French Immersion as a Contract Teacher Teaching on Call in Cranbrook. This part-time position offers a dynamic teaching environment for Grades K-12.

School District No. 5 is seeking a Contract Teacher Teaching on Call for the French Immersion program. The role requires BC Teacher Certification and prior experience in French education at the K-12 level. You will primarily fill gaps in French language instruction across several schools, including T.M. Roberts Elementary and Parkland Middle School, with varied placement daily.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach French Immersion subjects for K-12 students

• Replace French Teachers as needed throughout the district

• Follow daily assignments from the Human Resources Department

• Maintain proper classroom management and instructional standards

• Collaborate with school staff on curriculum delivery

Requirements:

• BC Teacher Certification is preferred

• Degree/formal training in French language education

• Experience with K-12 French curriculum is an asset

• Fully bilingual in French and English

• Successful background check as per Criminal Records Review Act
