Civil Engineering Technician

About the Role  Our client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Technician to support their engineering team in Kimberley . Operating on a hybrid model, you will assist professional engineers in the design, development, and execution of various civil engineering projects.

Your role will involve preparing technical drawings, conducting site measurements, and supporting project administration. This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring technician to gain broad experience across different project types and contribute to essential infrastructure development in the Northern Cape. You will be a vital part of the project delivery process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities   Assist in the preparation of detailed engineering drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD software.
Conduct site surveys, measurements, and data collection under the guidance of engineers.
Support the project team in managing documentation, permits, and regulatory compliance.
Perform basic engineering calculations and analysis for projects.
Liaise with contractors and site personnel to gather information and address queries.
Assist in the preparation of technical reports and project progress updates.
Requirements   National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Technology/Technician studies.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Civil Engineering Technician or in a similar role.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
Basic understanding of civil engineering principles, materials, and construction methods.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a hybrid team.
