Co-op Position in Mining Engineering

Location: Sparwood

Start your Mining Engineering career with a co-op at Elk Valley Resources in January 2027. Participate in a hands-on role that spans 8 or 12 months, focusing on mine operation and design.

At Elk Valley Resources, you’ll engage in a range of mining engineering projects while being part of the Glencore Group. This co-op provides an opportunity to enhance your academic learning through practical applications. You will work closely with engineers on safety, operation plans, and innovative mining technologies in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Join health and safety initiatives across mining operations

• Collaborate with teams on mine planning and design

• Contribute to blasting and surveying technical services

• Monitor and analyze operating areas effectively

• Assist with compliance and capital expenditure tracking

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mining/Mineral Resource Engineering

• Valid Class 5 Driver's License

• Ability to handle multiple projects tailored by deadlines

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
