Our client seeks an experienced Geotechnical Engineer dedicated to enhancing mining infrastructure in the Northern Cape. This role requires in-depth knowledge of geotechnical assessments, stability analyses, and foundation design specifically for the mining sector. Your skills in managing geotechnical risks will be vital for the success of critical projects in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct geotechnical investigations for mine infrastructure
• Perform stability analyses for slopes and dams
• Design foundations for heavy industrial equipment
• Assess geotechnical risks due to seismicity and dewatering
• Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports with recommendations
Requirements:
• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent
• ECSA professional registration (Pr.Eng)
• Minimum of 8 years in geotechnical engineering
• Expertise in slope stability and rock mechanics
• Proficient with geotechnical mining software
