East Kootenay Regional Hospital invites applications for a full-time Infection Control Practitioner dedicated to elevating patient care and safety. Promote responsible infection prevention practices from Monday to Friday.
As a critical member of the healthcare team, the Infection Control Practitioner will implement and evaluate infection control measures across various settings. This role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and educating staff and volunteers about best practices in infection prevention. Your commitment to quality improvement methodologies will be paramount in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain infection control initiatives

• Provide mentorship and support to healthcare staff

• Conduct infection surveillance and analysis

• Collaborate on safety improvement projects

• Drive education efforts related to infection control
Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with infection control experience

• Knowledgeable in epidemiology and microbiology

• Exceptional communication and teaching skills

• Full-time commitment to Monday to Friday shifts

• Familiarity with healthcare-associated infection prevention
