Position: Full-Time Medical Lab Technologist
Join Interior Health as a full-time Medical Lab Technologist at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, B.C. Bring your expertise in laboratory science to our dynamic team.

This permanent position works within a collaborative Medical Laboratory Department. You'll perform various routine and complex tests while interacting with patients and managing laboratory information systems. Tasks include specimen collection, result validation, and maintaining lab instruments under the supervision of experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct tests in clinical chemistry, hematology, and transfusion medicine

• Collect specimens and enter data accurately in the LIS

• Validate and report test results to ensure quality

• Maintain laboratory instruments and prepare solutions

• Participate in training programs for lab techniques

Requirements:

• Relevant educational qualifications in Medical Laboratory Science

• Strong knowledge of testing procedures and laboratory protocols

• Flexibility to work rotating shifts including evenings and nights

• Motivated and reliable with excellent teamwork skills

• Experience with automated lab instruments is a plus
