Addiction Counsellor

Our client is seeking a skilled and compassionate Addiction Counsellor to support individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction in Kimberley . This role utilizes a hybrid model, combining remote therapeutic sessions with essential in-person support and group facilitation. You will play a vital role in helping clients overcome addiction, develop coping mechanisms, and rebuild their lives. • Conduct comprehensive assessments of substance abuse patterns and co-occurring mental health issues.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and recovery plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Offer crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing withdrawal or acute distress.
• Educate clients and their families on addiction, recovery processes, and relapse prevention strategies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records and progress reports.

• Relevant qualification in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
• Professional registration with a recognized counseling body (e.g., HPCSA).
• Proven experience in addiction counseling or substance abuse treatment.
• Strong knowledge of addiction dynamics, treatment modalities, and recovery principles.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and motivational interviewing skills.
