HR Legal Compliance Officer

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and vigilant HR Legal Compliance Officer to join their Human Resources team in Kimberley . This critical role ensures that all HR practices and policies adhere strictly to South African labour laws and regulations, mitigating legal risks and fostering a compliant work environment. You will be responsible for staying abreast of legislative changes, conducting compliance audits, developing training programs, and advising management on legal matters related to employment.

This position is ideal for a professional with a strong legal background in HR who is committed to upholding ethical standards and ensuring organizational integrity.

Key Responsibilities   Monitor, interpret, and advise on all aspects of South African labour law and employment legislation.
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
Conduct regular HR compliance audits and risk assessments.
Manage and investigate employee grievances and disciplinary proceedings in accordance with legal requirements.
Develop and deliver training programs on labour law and HR compliance for employees and managers.
Liaise with legal counsel and relevant government bodies as required.
Requirements   Law degree (LLB) or a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR compliance, labour law, or industrial relations.
In-depth knowledge of South African labour legislation, including the BCEA, LRA, EEA, and BBBEE.
Experience in conducting internal investigations and managing disciplinary hearings.
Strong analytical, research, and report-writing skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable advising senior management.
