VoIP Systems Administrator

About the Role  Our client is seeking an experienced VoIP Systems Administrator to manage and maintain their Voice over IP infrastructure in Kimberley . This role is critical for ensuring the reliable operation of our client's communication systems, including PBX, call centers, and unified communications platforms. You will be responsible for system configuration, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and implementing upgrades to enhance service quality and user experience.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of VoIP technologies and a proactive approach to system administration in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities   Administer, monitor, and maintain the company's VoIP systems, including PBX, softphones, and gateways.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to voice quality, call routing, and system availability.
Configure new user accounts, extensions, and features as required.
Implement system upgrades, patches, and security enhancements for VoIP infrastructure.
Develop and maintain documentation for VoIP system configurations and procedures.
Collaborate with network and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of voice services.
Requirements   Proven experience as a VoIP Systems Administrator or in a similar role managing UC platforms.
In-depth knowledge of VoIP protocols such as SIP, H.323, and RTP.

Experience with PBX systems (e.g., Asterisk, Cisco Call Manager) and unified communications platforms.
Strong understanding of networking concepts relevant to VoIP, including QoS.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, supporting operations in Kimberley .
