Logistics Specialist

About the Role  Our client is seeking a skilled and organized Logistics Specialist to join their team in Kimberley . This role involves managing and coordinating various aspects of the supply chain, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring logistics operations, working closely with internal departments, carriers, and suppliers. Key Responsibilities   Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, ensuring timely delivery and pick-up.
Manage relationships with transportation providers, negotiating rates and ensuring service level agreements are met.
Prepare and process necessary shipping documentation, customs declarations, and invoices.
Monitor shipments, track progress, and resolve any logistical issues or delays proactively.
Maintain accurate records of logistics activities, inventory levels, and costs.
Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, finance) to streamline logistics processes.
Requirements   Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience (3+ years) in a logistics or supply chain role.
Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
Strong understanding of transportation modes, warehousing, and inventory management.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing office-based and remote tasks.
