Senior Buyer - Raw Materials

About the Role  Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer with expertise in Raw Materials to join their procurement division in Kimberley . This critical role involves managing the end-to-end procurement process for essential raw materials, focusing on cost optimization, supplier reliability, and quality assurance. You will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and fostering strong relationships with key suppliers.

Key Responsibilities   Develop and execute sourcing strategies for various raw material categories.
Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, and ensure supply continuity.
Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with production and logistics teams to forecast material needs and manage inventory levels effectively.
Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Requirements   Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
5-7 years of experience as a buyer , with a strong focus on raw materials procurement.
Proven track record in negotiating complex contracts and managing supplier performance.
Deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, commodity markets, and global sourcing.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency in procurement systems and MS Office Suite is required.
