Senior Facilities Manager - Sports Complex

About the Role  Our client, a large-scale sports complex in Kimberley , is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Facilities Manager . This crucial role is responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and operational efficiency of all facilities within the complex, ensuring they are safe, functional, and meet the needs of athletes, staff, and visitors. You will oversee maintenance teams, manage budgets, coordinate major repairs and upgrades, and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a strong background in facility management, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining world‑class sporting infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities   Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of all buildings, grounds, and equipment within the sports complex.
Develop and manage annual budgets for facility operations, capital expenditures, and maintenance.
Lead and manage a team of maintenance staff, including plumbers, electricians, groundskeepers, and technicians.
Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and national health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Plan and supervise renovation projects, upgrades, and preventative maintenance programs.
Requirements   Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in facilities management, preferably in a sports or large public venue setting.
Proven experience in managing budgets, contractors, and maintenance teams.
Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety standards.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills in Kimberley .
