About the Role  Our client, a specialized aviation maintenance and finishing company located near Kimberley , is seeking a skilled Aircraft Painter . This role is responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to aircraft exteriors, ensuring aesthetic appeal and protection against environmental factors. You will work with a variety of specialized coatings, preparation materials, and application techniques suitable for aerospace standards.

Key Responsibilities   Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primers.
Apply paint, primers, and coatings to aircraft exteriors using spray guns and other application methods.
Achieve precise finishes, ensuring uniformity in color, thickness, and texture according to specifications.
Mix paints and coatings to achieve required colors and properties.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures for handling chemicals and operating equipment.
Inspect finished work for quality, identify defects, and perform necessary touch-ups or rework.
Requirements   Proven experience as a painter, with a minimum of 3 years in industrial or automotive painting.
Experience in aircraft painting or a related aerospace finishing role is highly preferred.
Proficiency in surface preparation techniques and the use of various painting tools and equipment.
Knowledge of different types of coatings, solvents, and their application properties.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality finishes.
Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions accurately.
