Aircraft Painter; Aviation

Our client, a specialized aviation maintenance and finishing company located near Kimberley , is seeking a skilled Aircraft Painter . This role is responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to aircraft exteriors, ensuring aesthetic appeal and protection against environmental factors. You will work with a variety of specialized coatings, preparation materials, and application techniques suitable for aerospace standards.

• Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primers.
• Apply paint, primers, and coatings to aircraft exteriors using spray guns and other application methods.
• Achieve precise finishes, ensuring uniformity in color, thickness, and texture according to specifications.
• Mix paints and coatings to achieve required colors and properties.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures for handling chemicals and operating equipment.
• Inspect finished work for quality, identify defects, and perform necessary touch-ups or rework.

• Proven experience as a painter, with a minimum of 3 years in industrial or automotive painting.
• Experience in aircraft painting or a related aerospace finishing role is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in surface preparation techniques and the use of various painting tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of different types of coatings, solvents, and their application properties.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality finishes.
• Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions accurately.
