Outreach Worker

Position: Full-Time Outreach Worker
Make a difference in Cranbrook as a Full-Time Homelessness Outreach Worker, supporting individuals facing homelessness and helping them access vital resources. Collaborate with local shelters and service agencies for effective outreach and support.

As part of a dedicated team at BC Housing, this short-term role involves working closely with individuals at risk of homelessness. You will assist clients in navigating housing systems, while addressing their physical and mental health challenges. Your efforts will contribute to a more integrated system of support for our vulnerable community members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Connect with individuals experiencing homelessness in the community

• Assist clients in navigating housing support systems

• Collaborate with local shelters and housing providers

• Coordinate rapid support for those sheltering outdoors

• Address and minimize encampments in the area

Requirements:

• High school diploma plus relevant post-secondary education

• Experience in crisis management and working with marginalized populations

• Valid Class 5 BC driver's license and access to a vehicle

• Tier 4 Criminal Record Check required

• Must be eligible to work in Canada
