Ground Operations Supervisor - Aviation

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Ground Operations Supervisor to lead their airport operations team in Kimberley . This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of ground handling, including aircraft loading/unloading, baggage handling, passenger services, and coordination with flight crews and air traffic control. You will ensure efficient, safe, and timely ground operations, manage a team of ground crew personnel, and maintain compliance with all aviation safety regulations and company procedures.

This is a leadership position critical to the seamless functioning of flight operations.

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of the ground operations team.
• Ensure the safe and efficient handling of all aircraft, baggage, and cargo.
• Coordinate with flight crews, maintenance, and other departments to ensure on‑time departures.
• Monitor adherence to safety protocols and conduct regular safety inspections.
• Train and develop ground crew staff, ensuring they meet performance standards.
• Manage resources, including equipment and personnel, to meet operational demands.

• Proven experience in aviation ground operations or airport management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of ground handling procedures, safety regulations, and airport operations.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Relevant certification in aviation operations is a plus.
