Specialized Equipment Transport Driver

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Specialized Equipment Transport Driver to handle the movement of oversized and heavy machinery across the Northern Cape and beyond, based in Kimberley . This role demands expertise in operating heavy-duty trucks and trailers, meticulous route planning, and an unwavering commitment to safety. You will be responsible for transporting construction equipment, agricultural machinery, and other oversized loads, requiring significant experience and specialized certifications.

This is a pivotal role in supporting major infrastructure and industrial projects in the Northern Cape region.

• Operate heavy-duty trucks and specialized trailers (e.g., low-bed) for transporting oversized and heavy loads.
• Plan and execute complex routes, ensuring compliance with all road regulations for abnormal loads.
• Secure and safely load/unload specialized equipment using appropriate methods and equipment.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections, maintenance checks, and post-trip reporting.
• Communicate effectively with clients, site personnel, and dispatch regarding transport logistics.
• Ensure all necessary permits and documentation for oversized loads are in order.

• Valid driver's license (Code 14/EC1) with PrDP and relevant endorsements for heavy/abnormal loads.
• Extensive experience in transporting heavy and oversized equipment.
• Proficiency in operating specialized transport vehicles and securing techniques.
• Excellent knowledge of routes and transport regulations across the Northern Cape and surrounding provinces.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage logistical challenges independently.
