Trillium has an immediate opening for a Senior Tax Accountant in Cranford!

This Direct-Hire opportunity seeks individuals pursuing their CPA Certification or who already hold it. As the Senior Tax Accountant, you will be working directly with public companies, privately held businesses, multi-employer benefit funds, not-for-profit entities, and high-net-worth individuals.

You would be joining an established firm with a rapidly growing tax department. The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for tax compliance, tax controversy, planning, and consulting on a broad array of tax matters.

This position will start as an on-site role to ensure acclamation with the company’s processes and procedures. Once that is completed, it will be converted to a hybrid position requiring the Senior Tax Accountant to be in the office a minimum of 3 days a week.

• Prepare and review tax returns for corporations, partnerships, trusts, and individuals
• Prepare analysis for E&P studies, special allocations for partners, tax basis capital, and state nexus
• Work independently and collaboratively with the tax team. Report directly to managers, the global tax director, and partners while training and mentoring staff associates and interns
• Respond to tax notices and handle other correspondence with federal and state tax authorities.
• Advise clients to help them anticipate and understand the potential considerations and consequences of tax planning decisions
• Stay current with respect to U.S. tax law changes and latest developments
• Conduct tax research
  , draft memos, and prepare slide decks for domestic tax planning and presentations
• Participate in firm marketing activities and commit to providing superior client service

Office hours are 9am-5 : 30pm Monday-Friday. Salary range is $ annually depending on experience. Salary increase upon completion of CPA Certification!

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Minimum of 3-5 years of tax experience
• Fundamental knowledge of tax rules and provisions
• Comprehensive understanding of federal and state tax reporting obligations
