A Typical Day
Joining H&R Block as a seasonal Client Service Professional/Receptionist means you’ll focus on how to wow clients now and in the future. You will inspire people to make confident, informed decisions about their lives, careers, and money, building client relationships that strengthen each year.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible schedule and/or in multiple locations
- Sales/marketing experience
Responsibilities
- Answer phones and greet clients in a personalized, friendly, and inviting manner
- Match clients with the best‑suited tax professional for their needs
- Schedule clients as requested
- Ensure all client needs have been met during service, whether in person, over the phone, or virtually
- Maintain office cleanliness and organization of resources with team members
- Other duties as assigned
Required Expertise
- Experience working in a fast‑paced environment
- Previous customer‑service experience
- Ability to multi‑task
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office

Pay Range
$11.00 – $27.00 per hour. Local minimum wage laws apply. The pay range is posted to provide applicants with information about eligibility. Individual pay decisions will depend on job‑related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location. Successful candidates may participate in incentive compensation or short‑term incentive plans. Qualifying associates can enroll themselves and/or their eligible dependents in medical and prescription drug coverage;
participate in the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k) Plan), the Employee Assistance Program, virtual fitness center programs, the associate discount program; are automatically enrolled in Business Travel Accident Insurance; and receive Associate Tax Prep benefit.
