Bilingual, Customer Service Rep
Description
The Westfield Area YMCA is looking for reliable, friendly and enthusiastic individuals to join our Member Services department at our Cranford and Westfield locations! We offer a fun, positive and inclusive work environment.
Primary Duties- Greeting members, guests and other staff at the Welcome Center with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
- Enrolling new members and assisting current members with any changes to membership/enrollment.
- Monitoring the security of the facility by ensuring adherence to all Y procedures and policies in regards to facility access and safety.
- Resolving member problems and concerns.
- Answering phones and directing calls, as necessary.
- Accurately processing payment for membership and program registration.
- Giving tours to prospective members, as instructed.
- Assisting with special events, as needed.
Starts at $ per hour, depending on experience.
Available ShiftsOpener: 4:45am - 9am weekdays, with potential to substitute other early mornings and weekends.

- Must have the ability to communicate well, both written and verbally, in English.
- Must be willing to obtain, maintain and renew CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, Emergency Oxygen, EPI and Asthma certifications or equivalent; will train on-site.
- Must possess the capabilities and maturity to handle the responsibilities involved in maintaining a safe environment.
- Must be able to create and maintain positive relations with members, participants and staff effectively.
- Prior customer service experience a plus, but not required.
