A leading specialist provider is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their education team in a specialist school and college in Cranleigh, Surrey. This role supports students aged 5-19 with complex learning disabilities, social communication difficulties, and challenging behaviours. You will help students access therapy-based education, develop essential life skills, and work towards greater independence. No prior experience is necessary – just empathy, compassion, and a "can-do" attitude.

• Support students with severe social communication difficulties, complex learning disabilities, and challenging behaviours.
• Assist in delivering personalised learning programmes, including core skills such as numeracy, literacy, and science, as well as life skills like cookery and gardening.
• Use alternative communication methods such as Makaton, signs, symbols, or communication aids to facilitate learning.
• Help manage emotional and behavioural challenges, guiding students through frustrations and anxieties.
• Support students with personal care needs, following the training provided.
• Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to safeguarding policies.
• Participate in ongoing training, including Team Teach positive behaviour support and the Trust’s twice-weekly TA training programme.

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and professionals.
• Patience and resilience to support students through emotional and behavioural challenges.
• Literacy and numeracy skills to support student learning and complete relevant documentation.
