Job Title: Multi Skilled Production Engineer
Location: Ledbury, Gloucestershire
Pay Range/details: Competitive Salary + Benefits

Our client, is recruiting a Multi Skilled Production Engineer to join its experienced engineering team.
Key Responsibilities- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all production equipment to minimise downtime.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, carrying out repairs effectively.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines and industry best practices.
- Identify areas for improvement within the production process and propose solutions to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Assist in the implementation of process improvement projects, including machinery upgrades and layout changes.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the engineering team.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in all engineering activities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including completed tasks, spare parts used, and any necessary follow-up actions.
- Utilise the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to log all maintenance activities and generate reports as needed.
- Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure engineering support aligns with production goals.
- Provide training and support to junior engineers and apprentices as required.
- NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent; HNC/HND or higher in an engineering discipline is desirable.
- Proven experience as a Multi Skilled Engineer.
- Good understanding of problem solving and modern lean manufacturing techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels, from production floor to management and directors.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with a hands‑on approach.
- Excellent team player, proactive, inquisitive, and flexible attitude to work.
- Ability to support weekend and bank holiday working when required.
- Motivated, diligent, logical, and analytical.
- Full-time hours with rotating shift pattern (5.30am-2pm / 1.30pm-10pm, Monday to Friday).
