Quality Engineer

We’re supporting an innovative clean energy company developing next‑generation energy technology, looking to bring in a Quality Engineer to strengthen quality across engineering, manufacturing and product development.

This is a hands‑on role, ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the product and the shop floor, driving quality improvements in a fast‑moving engineering environment.

Location: Surrey (On‑site)

The Role

Working across engineering, production and prototype build activities, you’ll help improve product and process quality, support problem solving, and contribute to continuous improvement across the operation.

Responsibilities
  • Support and improve product and process quality across engineering, production and prototyping
  • Work closely with teams on the shop floor to identify, resolve and elevate quality issues
  • Maintain and develop the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • Lead investigations into non‑conformances using structured tools such as 8D and 5 Whys
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve right‑first‑time delivery
  • Support internal/external audits, quality reporting and data analysis
  • Assist with inspection activities across incoming materials and finished products
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in a Quality Engineer or similar quality‑focused role within engineering or manufacturing
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Hands‑on approach with confidence operating on the shop floor
  • Experience using root cause analysis and structured problem‑solving tools
  • Good communication skills, able to work across teams and elevate issues where needed
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a practical approach to solving problems
