Technical Sales Advisor

We are recruiting on behalf of an esteemed and award-winning independent automotive business near Ewhurst, Surrey, for the position of Technical Sales Advisor.

This role offers a unique opportunity for individuals with a strong automotive technical background to transition into a customer-focused role within a dynamic and supportive environment. The successful individual will play a crucial part in delivering excellent customer service while utilising their technical expertise to facilitate smooth vehicle repair processes.

Duties of the Technical Sales Advisor:

Manage enquiries from multiple channels, offering technical advice and support
Explain vehicle symptoms and repair options clearly to customers
Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for vehicle repairs
Follow up on initial enquiries to build confidence and convert into confirmed bookings
Foster customer relationships through transparent communication and technical guidance
Provide ongoing support to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
Handle technical discussions related to modern vehicles with confidence and professionalism
Use modern systems and software for quote generation and communication
Maintain high levels of organisation, attention to detail, and customer service standards

Requirements of the Technical Sales Advisor:

Strong technical knowledge of modern vehicle systems and repairs
Proven experience in a technical or customer-facing automotive role
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex repair issues simply
Confidence in speaking with customers over the phone and face-to-face
Ability to produce detailed estimates and quotations accurately
Organised, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills
Passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience as the Technical Sales Advisor
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to customer service and enquiries
Competence in using automotive computer systems and technology
