Assistant Project Manager

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Project Manager to join our growing construction management team. In this role, you will support and work directly with the project manager on multiple $15M+ projects ensuring projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget. Skills in operating Procore are a requirement. Your proactive approach and strong organizational skills will help drive project success and client satisfaction.

• Assist in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using construction management software such as Procore and Microsoft Project, ensuring all phases are aligned with project goals.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to facilitate smooth communication and workflow throughout the project lifecycle.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, contracts, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of design intent on site.
• Monitor construction progress on-site by conducting regular site visits, verifying work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to schedule.
• Assist in tracking project budgets, change orders, and procurement activities to maintain financial control.
• Collaborate with senior project managers on contract administration, risk management, and resolving issues that arise during construction.
• Maintain and properly distribute comprehensive documentation including daily reports, incident logs, RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and progress photos using Procore.
• Support project team in implementing time management strategies to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

• Proven experience or internship in construction management or related field; familiarity with construction site operations is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of construction management software such as Pro Core, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of project scheduling principles and techniques for effective project coordination.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of safety standards and protocols applicable on construction sites.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes and cost control methods is a plus.
