Packer, Manufacturing ​/ Production

• Shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm

• Pay: $17.95

A Packer is responsible for detailed, multi-step packing, labeling and boxing finished products.

• Assembles and staples boxes by using a foot or hand operated stapler.

• Inspects materials, finished products and boxes at each step in the packing process to identify any visual defects.

• Labels and date stamps boxes.

• Reviews job information in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system daily to determine orders to process.

• Maintains inventory of materials needed for packing the production orders.

• Obtains finished products that need packing based on orders in ERP system.

• May operate machine to wash casings for certain products as necessary.

• Attaches name plates to products.

• 1 year previous experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment preferred.

• Ability to operate basic packaging equipment and tools (e.g., staplers, labelers).

• Able to read and understand work instructions, manufacturing process sheets, and bills of material.

• Basic math and computer skills (familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning [ERP] systems is a plus).
