Position Title
:
Senior Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Senior Advisor to serve as a client-facing retirement planning advisor and help establish a growing financial services firm’s presence in the Warwick/Cranston, Rhode Island area. This role will independently lead client meetings, present comprehensive retirement strategies, conduct educational seminars and workshops, follow up with firm-generated prospects, and guide clients through decisions involving income, investments, taxes, Medicare, and estate planning.

Unlike traditional advisor roles that require constant prospecting, this position is backed by significant firm-generated lead flow, paid seminars, marketing support, a dedicated paraplanner, and outsourced investment management. The advisor can focus their energy where it matters most: building trust, presenting solutions, and converting opportunities into lasting client relationships.

The ideal candidate is an experienced, highly organized, and persuasive financial professional who can confidently own client relationships, command a meeting, and thrive in a fast-moving environment. They must be comfortable speaking in front of groups, disciplined about follow-through, and eager to learn an established retirement planning process.

Salary Range
: $85,000 - $120,000 / Year DOE

Responsibilities
  • Lead client-facing retirement planning meetings independently, build trust, explain recommendations, and guide prospective clients through the decision-making process
  • Present comprehensive retirement strategies covering income planning, investments, taxes, Medicare and estate planning
  • Serve as a presenter at live educational workshops and seminars, using firm-provided presentations, materials and processes
  • Follow up consistently with seminar attendees, prospective clients, and registered guests through phone and email communication
  • Maintain accurate CRM activity, manage follow-up tasks, and ensure prospective client opportunities remain organized and moving forward
  • Partner closely with a dedicated paraplanner and broader support team, allowing you to remain focused on client relationships, presentations and business development
  • Take ownership of client service and production goals while serving as a trusted, accountable presence within the growing office
Requirements
  • Approximately 4-5 years of financial services or retirement planning experience, including at least 2 years independently managing client communications and relationships
  • Active Series 65 or Series 66 license
  • Proven ability to independently lead client meetings, explain financial recommendations, and confidently guide conversations toward a decision
  • Strong understanding of retirement planning beyond individual insurance or investment products
  • Comfortable speaking to groups and willing to develop into a strong seminar presenter through coaching and practice
  • Articulate, dynamic and persuasive communication style, with the ability to quickly establish credibility and trust
  • Highly organized, responsive and disciplined with CRM management, prospect follow-up and competing priorities
  • Ability to work 100% onsite in the Warwick/Cranston, Rhode Island area and travel locally to assigned seminar locations
  • Coachable, accountable, and willing to learn and consistently execute an established planning and presentation process
  • Experience with Mass Mutual, New York Life, an RIA, or a similar financial planning environment is a plus
Benefits
  • Medical insurance contribution
  • 401(k) plan with a company match
  • Approximately 2-3 weeks of PTO, based on experience
  • Firm-generated leads and significant company-funded marketing support
  • Dedicated paraplanner and administrative support
  • Outsourced investment management support, allowing advisors to remain focused on clients
  • Paid workshops and seminars with established presentation materials and processes
