Nucor Steel Indiana Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Programs

The Nucor Steel Indiana Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Programs are designed to teach maintenance fundamentals and train a person with a high school diploma (or GED) to the level of a maintenance electrical or mechanical technician within a two year training period. The training program combines education, culture, and current training programs across Nucor, providing classroom instruction and structured hands-on training to prepare individuals to enter the workforce as Electrical or Mechanical Technicians.

Responsibilities include hands-on assignments with experienced Nucor Maintenance Team Members while maintaining a 3.0 or better GPA.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Training Program Requirements:

• Minimum age to apply is 18.
• Current high school transcript (2.75 GPA preferred) including ACT, SAT, Accuplacer scores, or Ivy Tech transcripts, if applicable.
